Community Profile: Education

The school system in Moffat County will take your student from quality, rated preschool programs to an associate's degree or special certification. Students at Moffat County High School have the option of enrolling in college courses, for which they earn both high school and college credit. Several students, though this program, have earned their associate's degree before graduating from high school.

At our local community college, students can take fully transferable core classes, or earn certifications as a power plant technician, registered nurse, massage therapist or cosmetologist. The college is currently undergoing an expansion that will lead to a $3 million career and technical center, a $25 million academic building, residence halls and automotive tech center. The school also anticipates spending $1 million in program expansion.

There are appoximatly 2,400 students enrolled in the Moffat County school system.
